Q:
Which TreadMoves workout is best for me?
A: All four workouts offer unique benefits and are best used
in conjunction with each other. However, if you are selecting only one
or two workouts to try first, then here are a few things to consider:
(1) Aerobic Cardio Blast and Extreme Moves involve
moves that require coordination. In fact, several workouts will be necessary
in order for you to master all the moves. We intentionally designed
it this way to prevent you from getting bored with the workouts. Conversely,
Total Body Sports Conditioning and Training for Speed
have no aerobic moves or combinations - they consist of strictly walking,
jogging, running, hill climbing, and/or sprinting (and in Total Body
Sports Conditioning, resistance training).
(2) Aerobic Cardio Blast is a steady-state fat burning
workout. This means that after you warm up, you will stay in your target
heart rate zone until you cool down. Conversely, Total Body Sports
Conditioning, Extreme Moves, and Training for Speed are interval
workouts. This means that your heart rate, though elevated the entire
time, will have peaks as you go from intense cardiovascular segments
(such as sprinting or an extreme move) to more moderate cardiovascular
segments (such as weight training while walking or a less intense series
of moves.)
(3) Each workout allows a different amount of time for weight
training. Total Body Sports Conditioning allows more time for
weight training than Aerobic Cardio Blast and Extreme Moves.
Training for Speed doesn't incorporate any weight training at
all; rather it includes an extensive 10-minute stretching segment.
Q:
I'm nervous about the moves in Aerobic Cardio Blast and Extreme
Moves- won't I trip or fall off?
A: Learning any new exercise involves risk;
however, that is no reason to shy away! When Step Aerobics was first
introduced, participants and instructors were very nervous and only
performed a fraction of the moves that are performed today. Likewise,
you will be cautious the first few times you use your treadmill in this
new way. We encourage this cautious approach and recommend that you
hold on to the handrails until you become comfortable. In all our hours
of development, practice, and participant testing, we have not had a
fall or an injury. (All exercisers are encouraged to consult their physician
before beginning this or any workout regimen.)
Q:
Does TreadMoves really burn more fat than traditional treadmill workouts?
A: Yes!!! First, TreadMoves involves resistance
training, which promotes muscle growth. The more muscle you have, the
more fat you burn. (Even at rest!) Also, the more muscles you involve
during an activity, the more calories you burn, and unused calories
are converted to fat. But besides all this, TreadMoves is FUN, and we
all know that you'll stick with something that you enjoy. Sticking to
regular exercise is the ultimate fat burner!
Q:
Will there be more TreadMoves products?
A: Absolutely! In the meantime, send us
your thoughts about what products you would like to see more of!
Q:
I'm a beginner (or advanced) - will TreadMoves really meet my needs?
A: Yes, because you control the intensity
of your treadmill workout. This is one of the most beneficial aspects
of TreadMoves. For example, you can do the exact moves as the instructors
on a 0% inline or a 100% incline - your choice. If you are a beginner,
you can slow your pace, keep 0% incline, eliminate the arm movements
and hold on to the handrails. If you are advanced, you can quicken your
pace, keep your incline elevated, and use heavier dumbbells. The possibilities
are endless! (All exercisers are encouraged to consult their physician
before beginning this or any workout regimen.)
Q:
Is it hard to follow the instruction on the Audio CDs?
A: Some of the movements are not as clearly
conveyed by sound as they are by sight, so watching the original workout
before using the audio CD is necessary. If you watch the workout first
and are familiar with the corresponding TreadMoves workout, you will
not have a difficult time. Attempting the workouts via Audio CD without
at least viewing the corresponding DVD workout is NOT recommended.
Q:
How long will it take for my order to ship?
A: Your order will be shipped within 24
hours provided your address and shipping information is correct.
Q:
How much does shipping cost?
A: Orders consisting of up to 4 DVDs and
shipping to a United States address cost $4.60; five or more products
cost $6.50 - each ship by 2-3 day Priority mail. Faster options exist
for higher shipping rates.
Q:
How much does each product cost?
A: Each DVD is $19.99; each audio CD is
$12.99.
Q:
Can I contact someone by phone?
A: Yes, but you must send your phone number
via email. Since we spend most of our time developing more workouts
and attending fitness shows, there is not someone standing by. If you
email TreadMoves, someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
If you want to speak with someone by phone, include your phone number
in your email and a time that you would like to be reached. We look
forward to hearing from you!
Q:
Can I purchase TreadMoves in VHS?
A:
Absolutely! Our website will default to a DVD selection. If you would
like to purchase VHS, immediately reply to your order confirmation and
specify that you would like your order filled with VHS videos.
Q:
I'm concerned about using my credit card. Is the site secure?
A: Yes. When you are finished shopping
and proceed to the checkout stage, you are transferred from the TreadMoves
site to the payment processing server. This server is hosted by Verisign
and is encrypted with the industry standard for internet security.
